In late 2024 and early 2025 I collaborated with British artist Bran Symondson on a special Everrati project that combined contemporary art with one of the most recognisable silhouettes in automotive history. Everrati redefines classic cars through meticulous restoration and the integration of fully electric powertrains, preserving their heritage while presenting a more sustainable future.
Working closely with Bran across a series of studio sessions, we developed a unique artwork for an electrified Porsche 964 finished in the iconic Gulf Oil racing livery. The concept transformed the traditional orange centre stripe by layering it with a carefully arranged field of butterflies photographed from Bran’s own collection - a visual symbol of renewal and environmental change.
Each butterfly was individually traced, refined, and placed within the composition, with subtle shadows used to integrate them seamlessly with the underlying livery. The arrangement evolved through multiple test prints and long collaborative sessions, adjusting rotation, spacing, and negative space with meticulous care so that the butterflies both complemented and emphasised the stripe beneath them. The final graphics were printed onto tightly engineered colour-matched panels, minimising fragile edges while maintaining visual precision across the vehicle.
The completed car debuted at the British Grand Prix, displayed at the entrance to the International Paddock, before travelling on to major automotive events across the United States.
Alongside this piece, I also developed graphics for an electrified Ford GT40, creating a digitally distorted interpretation of the Union Jack. The striking livery merged a historic racing icon with a contemporary visual language, echoing Everrati’s philosophy of honouring the past while redefining it for a modern, sustainable era.
